Two Destination Language: Hope & Ponies

Sun 8 Sep 2024, 11.30am

Find messages of hope and add your own to an installation of banners bringing together hopes from people around the UK, created by Two Destination Language.

Two Destination Language’s lead artists Katherina Radeva and Alister Lownie are gathering hopes. They’re interested in every kind, from childhood dreams to what our world might be like in future centuries.

At a time when military conflicts, the climate emergency and the cost of living are creating challenges at every scale, Two Destination Language has been reusing the leftover fabric of daily life in their factory of hope.

Among the installation of banners which give voice to hopes of all sizes, you can take time to think about where your hopes are nourished, and what you really hope for.

You can leave your thoughts on a postcard, join a conversation with the artists, or get involved in making new banners for the growing collection. And you just might leave re-energised to make the change you need for a better tomorrow.

Created by Two Destination Language’s Alister Lownie and Katherina Radeva with Nadia Sokolenko. Commissioned by Unlimited and the British Council, with development supported by Creative Scotland
