This summer, they showcase their roster of radio residents from their new community radio station, Sister Midnight FM, to bring the Riverside Terrace alive with sounds of South East London, celebrating the breadth and diversity of talent that makes up the area’s musical communities.
The sets are also broadcast live on Sister Midnight FM and are available to listen to after each event on Soundcloud.
Sister Midnight is a collective on a mission: to open a new community-owned music venue in Catford, South London that champions local creative talent, and prioritises people over profit. With their belief that music can unite and foster communities, they are working to create a new space for creative culture that radically re-imagines the role played by music venues in our neighbourhoods.
This summer, we’re collaborating with a range of London-based collectives and organisations to curate the Riverside Stage in response to the theme of our season, You Belong Here, enabling these collaborators to welcome different audiences and recognise how they want and choose to belong here at the Southbank Centre.
