Members' Lounge

A dedicated space to relax and unwind, just for our Members

A lounge on the top floor of the Royal Festival Hall, perfect for pre-show tipples with knockout views of the Thames.

Settle in with a good book, chat about the event you’re attending, grab a drink or a bite to eat, or just soak up the buzz of the Southbank Centre – it’s a sanctuary in the centre of London.

Our Members’ Lounge offers a wide selection of refreshments throughout the day and table reservations for you and up to five guests.

Happy hour

During our Members’ Lounge happy hour, 5pm – 6pm daily, cocktails, house wine (250ml), prosecco and beer are £5.

Booking a table

Whenever we’re open you can book a table in the Members Lounge. You can only make one booking a day and bookings are for two hours, though you’re welcome to stay longer if a table is free after your slot.

We require 24 hours notice for any booking, and you can book up to three months in advance. You’’l receive an email confirmation of your booking, and if you need to cancel a booking, just email our Membership team.

You can bring up to five guests at a time to the Members’ Lounge, and unfortunately you cannot request a specific table.

You don’t need to book to visit our Members’ Lounge, but if you’re bringing more than one guest we do encourage you to book as it helps us manage numbers, and secures you a place.

Members’ Lounge FAQs

How many guests can I bring to the Members' Lounge?

Members can bring up to five guests at a time to the Members’ Lounge. If you’re bringing more than one guest then we encourage you to book a table to help us manage numbers. When booking online you must select the amount of guests joining you.

You’re only able to book for one Member per booking, so if another Member is joining you, please add them as a guest.

Can I bring food into the Members' Lounge?

Food cannot be brought into the Members’ Lounge, but we do have plenty of food and drink available from our catering partners Company of Cooks, which is exclusive to the Members’ Lounge.

Do I need my Membership card to enter the Members' Lounge?

As we reduce the use of plastic, we’re encouraging you to access your Membership digitally using your phone. You can do this by logging onto your Southbank Centre account and clicking ‘Your Membership’. Just show this screen to our Visitor Assistants at the entrance of the Members’ Lounge and the Hayward Gallery.

You can also use this page to access your discounts when shopping in Southbank Centre shops, at our food market and in restaurants on-site.

Can I leave bags in the Member's Lounge?

As with anywhere else in our buildings and venues, please do not leave your personal belongings unattended. Any items left unattended may be removed.
